Welcome to my blog!

Hello and thank you for visiting my new blog. I created this blog to raise money for cystic fibrosis, as well as spread awareness for this deadly disease. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is genetic inherited disease that affects the respiratory, digestive and reproductive system. Though it affects 1 in 3,600 births in Canada, it is a relatively unknown disease. Thick mucus builds up in the lungs and intestines, resulting in frequent lung infections and failure to absorb necessary nutrients. Symptoms of cystic fibrosis may include: a chronic loose cough, lack of weight gain, diffuculty digesting food. There are treatments to relieve symptoms and their severity, but unfortunately, there is no cure or government funding for research. Those that have cystic fibrosis are only expected to live into their late thirties. That's why I want everyone to at least know there is a disease called cystic fibrosis. If everyone  in Canada could donate just one dollar to a cystic fibrosis foundation in their country, I can't say how much that would benefit those affected by this awful disease. Please consider donating or purchasing one of my handcrafted crocheted projects, 100% of the money collected will go to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
